Daxeam - the solution
Integrated functionality
Daxeam delivers asset maintenance and asset management specific features and functions by extending the out-of-the-box Microsoft Dynamics AX solution.
Daxeam offers integrated EAM functionality that can be implemented by your Daxeam Partner to suit your site and your operational time frame.
Daxeam has three core functional areas;
Planned Maintenance
Asset Management and
Work Order Management.
With Microsoft Dynamics AX as its foundation, Daxeam is integrated into the supply chain management functionality delivered across Projects, Inventory, Finance and Fixed Assets.
Technically, this foundation means Daxeam takes full advantage of the collaboration and reporting platforms offered by Microsoft Dynamics delivering deep analysis and quick access to information across the business.
Asset Management
The heart of an asset intensive industry
Daxeam provides a flexible structure that allows assets to be defined, either simply or joined together in a complex structure.
Using a graphical Asset Hierarchy, assets can be built into parent-child, sub-child relationships to allow updates and changes as the asset moves through its lifecycle.
Meters can be assigned to assets to manage the usage of that asset; by time, by quantity or using user definable measures.
These meters are then used in the Daxeam Work Order Management module for the creation of preventative maintenance work-orders, based on predefined meter intervals and events.
Meters are also updated based on the parent-child relationship. For example; when equipment in a hierarchy is exchanged or rotated, the meters are kept in synch for each specific piece of equipment.
As work orders are performed - time, materials and expenses are consumed, these are all available for analysis against the equipment.
Features
- Asset Type classification – This provides the ability to group and manage assets by type, with associated parameters
- Asset Register –The asset register comprises the serialised list of assets within a type
- Meter Type Registry - This provides for the set-up and units of measure for user defined meters against the asset (type)
- Asset Hierarchy – This enables the creation of asset structures featuring a graphical tree-view and drag and drop capability for easy use
- Asset Status
- Asset History and Analysis.
Planned Maintenance
Minimize your costs and maximize utilization
Minimizing costs due to unexpected asset breakdowns and maximizing utilization is at the core of the asset intensive industry.
Daxeam’s Planned Maintenance functionality provides the ability to manage the ongoing schedule of maintenance to ensure both these key performance criteria are met.
Daxeam allows you to plan maintenance at an organization or workshop level, and plan by equipment type or area. These flexible criteria enable work orders to be suggested based on current and future usage. Work orders based on predefined event templates will specify the parts, labor, subcontractors and ancillary resources required and these are integrated with the inventory planning system.
This means that planning is linked to material availability and hence orders and parts are planned simultaneously.
As an outcome, all costs can be measures against the standard event. This means you can focus on the areas where costs are excessive and get these back under control.
As part of the set-up of Maintenance organizations, resources such as trades and people are defined together with the skills required to perform maintenance tasks. This ensures you have the right mix of resources to suit your operational needs.
Features
Work Orders
The transaction engine of an asset intensive business
Within Daxeam, breakdown, ad hoc and preventative work orders are managed and planned using the graphical planning board via “drag and drop” functionality.
This delivers visibility of resources capacity versus load, ensuring that critical events are prioritized and load is balanced across trades, skills and workshops to ensure best management of resources.
As standard within the Daxeam Work Order Management module is the ability to identify assets or components covered by warranty. Warranty claims are generated with the functionality to set-up and manage permits for controlled work, such as hot work, confined spaces or the use of dangerous materials.
